We do a lot of weddings at Bloom & Co, and every year the trends shift a little. Here is what we are seeing in 2026 — and what couples are asking for when they come into the studio.
Native foliage is huge. Australian natives — banksia, gum, waratah, kangaroo paw — are showing up in everything from bridal bouquets to ceremony arches. They are sculptural, long-lasting, and uniquely Australian.
Dried elements are making a comeback. We are seeing couples request dried grasses, pampas, and even dried natives mixed with fresh flowers. The contrast between soft fresh petals and structural dried elements is beautiful.
Colour is back. After years of all-white-everything, couples are embracing colour. We are seeing rich autumnal palettes, bold jewel tones, and even unexpected combos like rust and peach.
Installations are getting bigger. Instead of traditional centrepieces, couples are asking for floral installations — hanging florals, ceremony arches, and full-wall flower walls. It is a bigger investment but the photos are incredible.
Sustainability matters. More couples are asking about where their flowers come from and what happens to them after the wedding. We donate post-event flowers to a local aged care home, which has been really well received.
